Hey there lovely! My name is Rach, and I’m the founder of Health As You Are. I am a physiotherapist with a passion to help women to improve their health and wellbeing.
Being active is a big part of my life. I love to go for long dog walks every day with my puppy Lenny, and do Pilates and Yoga classes a few times a week. I also love cooking delicious food – slow cooker meals are a big favourite (minimal effort, maximum flavour).
I’m also a major coffee addict, lover of wine, and good books (Harry Potter is my favourite). I love spending time with my family in country Victoria, and I enjoy a good Netflix binge.
About Health As You Are
Health As You Are began out of frustration.
I was tired of feeling like I had to follow a typical “plan” to achieve my health goals. I had tried a lot of different exercise programs and weight loss programs but I hated all of them.
I didn’t WANT to go running. I didn’t WANT to just eat salads for every meal.
I knew that there had to be some way that I could achieve my health goals without feeling like every day was a monumental effort.
So I took a new approach.
I decided that I was going to make better choices with what I ate, but only foods that I liked. I decided that hell yeah I would exercise, but only types of exercise that I loved.
And wouldn’t you know?? It actually worked.
I now have a regular exercise routine – walking my puppy Lenny, Yoga and Pilates. AND I look forward to cooking up big healthy meals for me and my partner Brad every day. It’s a bit weird actually. But in a good way.
Living the healthy life does NOT have to be something you hate. You can turn it around into something that you love.
It IS possible to live a healthy life and enjoy it. Trust me, if I’m doing it anybody can.
